  The Face of War Artist: Salvador Dali's  Year: 1940 The face of war shows the horror and terror people suffer during the Spanish Civil War and almost the beginning of the Second World War. The Spanish Civil War affected the Spaniards severely due to their goal to become a Republic, which was crushed and left Spain turning into a repressive fascist dictatorship. The first sense you get a looking at this painting is loneliness, death, and can feel the sadness. The snakes surrounding the face shows that attack on innocent people keep going even after going through a lot. The technique used in the creation of this painting was surrealism.                                                                                   Death and Life Artist: Gustav Klimt Created: 1908-1915 Location: Leopold Museum             Gustav Klimt described this painting as his most important figurative work. There are two different parts to the oil painting. One part represents death, and the other side represents life. Title: The Persistence of Memory Artist: Salvador Dali  Year: 1931 Dali was an artist that  described his work as “hand-painted dream photographs" applying surrealism methods to all his work.  This oil painting measures 9 1/2 x 13 inches.  This piece remains in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  He really relied on his imagination or dream world to create art that was not the norm. In this Dali used a lot of browns, yellow, and gold which look like warm colors ranging from light to dark. I think this piece creates a dream land where time does not matter. It is calming showing water with no waves, no clouds in the sky, and watches and clocks of different styles and time melting as if you can stay there forever. In this time we are all rushed and do not stop and take the time to tap into our dreams and creativities. Made from fine marble, as the first devotional statue of a female goddess in the nude.  Aphrodite is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation.   These photos are being used to help persuade and represent strength by getting the Covid-19 vaccine. When you are looking at the form of the image it has three photos that have some length as well as width. Each photo is focusing on a different aspect of strength and support from all different ages and background to represent strength and unity. The colors they are using in these pictures are bright and positive. Attention getters and positive colors. One of the photos looks like she is kneeling and supporting the three other people and protecting them against the virus. Showing all different ages as a first line of defense. Although everyone looks at photos with their own background and may read negatively based off color but I think they focused more on positivity and showing peace and community coming together to accomplish a common goal. The  author Valentina Di Liscia wants us to believe she is trying to stop any reasons why people should not be getting the vaccine...
